Encuentro Latino Network · First and third Wednesdays

La Mesa

The club's mastermind. La Mesa means "the table".

After networking, we stay 30 minutes and build a roadmap with concrete steps together.

Almost everything a business around here needs is already among us. We've just never put it at the same table at the same time.

How it works

Four steps

  1. 01

    Someone raises their hand.

A business from around here that wants to solve something. It doesn't have to be fully built, and it counts just as much if the business is just starting out. That business gets the seat. And if you gave your elevator pitch that same day, stay, because the seat could be yours.

  2. 02

We run a free analysis of your business.

Before the session. How people find it, what they see when they do, and what happens when someone wants to contact it.

  3. 03

With that analysis, we set the table to fit.

We invite the people we think you need, such as someone who knows money, someone in the same trade, someone who looks like your customer and someone who understands your operation. No strings attached.

  4. 04

30 minutes, and you leave with a roadmap.

What to do, in what order, and who to turn to for each thing. Within the next 72 hours you get it in writing.

Step 3 is the difference. La Mesa isn't a fixed group waiting to see who shows up with a problem. It's built for each case.

The session

How the 30 minutes are used

It starts at 9:30 AM sharp.

  1. 9:30 to 9:33 AM

    Portrait

You tell the story of your business in three minutes.

  2. 9:33 to 9:36 AM

    The sticking point

In one sentence, you name the pain that has you feeling stuck. Then we share what we see from the outside.

  3. 9:36 to 9:46 AM

    Questions only

The table asks. That's what brings the real problem to the surface, and it's almost never the one you came with.

  4. 9:46 to 9:56 AM

    Contributions

Now it's time. Each person says, from their own trade, what they would do or who they would connect them with.

  5. 9:56 to 10:00 AM

    The roadmap

We put in order what came up, with the first moves, in what order, and who can help with each one.

The ground rules

Three ground rules

  • 01

    What's said here stays here.

    Numbers, client names.

  • 02

    Questions first, advice later.

For the first ten minutes, nobody recommends anything.

  • 03

The floor belongs to whoever is in the seat.

The table gives those minutes to that one person.

What you take with you

A roadmap, and who to turn to

It's not a list of loose tips. It's what to do, in what order, and the name of who can help you with each thing.

  • The first moves, in order. What's worth doing now and what can wait.
  • A name next to each one. Who at the table offered, or who to look for outside if we don't have them among us.
  • The introductions that came up. Who agreed to connect you with whom.
  • Everything in writing, in the next few days. With what was said and who said it.

And what you bring

It costs no money, but it asks for something

Several people set aside their morning and we look at your business before we meet you. It's only fair that you leave with something done, and not just a good conversation.

  1. 01

You answer six questions before Friday.

Two minutes from your phone. It's what we use to prepare your session, so if the answers don't arrive in time, your table moves to the next date.

  2. 02

You take up to three tasks, and you set the date.

The roadmap gives you one to three things to do. Before you leave, you say which ones you'll take and by when you think you can have them done.

  3. 03

    Five minutes of follow-up.

A week or two later, someone from the group reaches out to see which of those tasks you've done.

  4. 04

When you see the result, let us know.

It matters to us that you tell us what helped. It's what makes the next business owner feel ready to ask for their table.

It's free because the community makes it happen, not because it's worth little. Those four things are all we ask.

All it takes

Take the seat

Tell us where you're getting stuck. We build the table around that. It counts just the same whether your business has been around for years or you're just starting.

Request your table on WhatsApp (opens in a new tab)

Or raise your hand at the meeting and we'll sign you up right there.
